Lose Image Path After Copy Past

When I copy an image (jpg) from one CAD window to another I lose the path for the image and I can't see the image once I paste it.

Do you know why?

I have been reading about path types.

There seems to be 3 options, full Path, relative path and no path.

I think I want full path but I can't find a setting for it in CAD.

If you open the Reference Manager then select the image listed from the references list, you can select the pathing type.

I made a quick video of what you are describing. Can you confirm that you are seeing or not seeing the behavior I show?  It sounds like your clipboard is failing. Or are you seeing the image frame but no image?

I like to drag me images from windows explorer and wanted to avoid changing the path of the images every time I want to copy them over to another drawings.

Is there a setting that will allow me to always attached an image with PATH ABSOLUTE?

There was no volume and it was hard for me to follow what was going on

I don't believe there are any system variables that can be configured to specify a 'default' pathing type. I would assume this is because of the functionality presently in the Reference Manager, which allows for a user to customize any pathing requirement as he/she fits to fulfill any requirement. There could be risk associated with defining 'no path' as an example for references, through the use of a system variable option.
