Logitech G Hub Dysfunctional with AutoCAD

I don't see a separate forum for pointing devices any longer so I'll post here.

Anyone trying to use Logitech's G Hub software to program mouse buttons with AutoCAD? Is it just me or is that software 100% hot garbage? I recently "upgraded" (I'll use that term loosely) to a G604 and this software is just awful.

After recording macro(s) and assigning them to buttons it just doesn't behave most of the time. Fires wrong commands, or if you press the programmed button enough times it MIGHT fire the correct command, eventually. Their old software worked fine for this purpose.

Am I the only one with this experience using AutoCAD?

Have you installed a stable or beta version?

As last resort, although G604 is not listed as supported, have you tried if Logitech Options works?

I've tested a MX Master 3 with Logitech Options @ W10/W11. Custom keystrokes works without hassle.

No beta. Using versions 2021.13.2906 here. Latest and greatest as far as I know. I was not ware of "Logitech Options". I'll look into it.

Looks like the Logitech Options software does not detect the G604 device. I guess I'll have to pick up a different mouse because this is essentially unusable as it stands.

Still experimenting with the settings but it appears, with minimal testing, that using the "text and emoji" option instead of "record keystrokes" (within the G Hub software) behaves a bit more consistently with AutoCAD. I'll report back once I have a better grip on the situation.

Scratch that. Very intermittent behavior. Their software still gets a 100% hot garbage rating. No setting I can find makes these programmed buttons behave consistently. Per app, per profile, persistent profiles, nothing. Pathetic.

I've had similar experiences headaches when configuring LGHUB in the past. Attached is a PDF with some step-by-step instructions I am sharing with folks at the office. It could certainly help with this issue or similar ones that folks might be having.

The three key factors in getting it to work as intended seems to be creating application specific profiles, making sure the correct profile is active when configuring and lastly, turning off "on-board memory mode" in settings.
