Log is generated every time I start autocad now??

For some reason when I open a drawing, a log is created in the folder where my drawing is kept. The log just basically shows what you would see when you hit F2 after startup. This has never happened before and I don't know why it started.

Any ideas how to stop this? (this is not the plot log).

Thanks,

John

There's a setting in Options to turn on log files. Did your get turned on by accident?

I checked and saw no settings for generating a log. The only log option is for plotting and publishing and that is unchecked in both locations. Do you know where the setting your thinking of is located?

jwhite post a image, there you can see it !?

the normal *.log

Options/open&save/maintain a log file

Sysvars - use F1

logfileon

logfileoff

logfilepath

logfilemode

logfilename

other things (off topic):

options/plot&publish

plotlog *.log (and in plotstamp options/protocolle)

DWGLOG *.DWH (from Expresstool)

AUDIT *.ADT

XREF *.XLG

...

The maintain log was indeed checked. I must have overlooked that. Thanks.
