Lineweight also getting activated on dimension lines

I am giving a thicker line weight to my main drawing. I am working with several layers of different weights.

But, after dimensioning, whenever I turn on lineweight, the dimension lines also get thicker (then dimension lines have same thickness as that of my main drawing).

Does anyone know why is this happening and how to stop it?

Thanks

Hi,

>>"Does anyone know why is this happening"

Why not? Dimensions are also drawing objects and you didn't say why you expecting another lineweight.

Check dimension lineweight,

if ByLayer, check dimension layer

and the lineweight of this layer,

or

Please, share your .dwg, so we can show you why it happen.

You are in total control: how do you stop lineweights from appearing (or how do you change them) for all other objects and entities? You either do it BY LAYER SETTING or BY OBJECT SETTING or have it running all the time and did not notice, since you did not share much detail, you can investigate those three at your end.

Here is a snip from HELP inside the program to get you started:

Set the lineweights of the Dimension parts in the Style definition:

If you don't like the ByBlock default, you can choose ByLayer, Default, zero, whatever you like.
