Linetype in Layout/Viewport

Hello all,

In model space, I am able to see the linetype (center) when I set the LTSCALE to 8.

I have a combination of short lines and relatively long lines. A scale of 8 allows me to have all my lines dashed .

My question relates to Layout 1/Viewport.

My linetype does not display and it does not plot either. 

I'm a beginning AutoCAD student. Any help is appreciated.

Common practice is to set the following to 1:
LTSCALE
MSLTSCALE
PSLTSCALE
CELTSCALE

With all the above, you'll find LTSCALE might need to be smaller depending on what you are drawing, so consider fractions (say 1/4, or 1/8, or 1/10, 1/25 etc.).
