I want that linetype change when selected (classic) not the "blueish" highlight. AutoCAD 2024.. I changed the command "Highlight" to (1).

So are you saying that instead of the line turning blue showing the grip points you prefer to have the linetype changed to show as dotted when it’s selected? But what if the linetype is already dotted?  Wouldn’t that be confusing?

I'd also like to add if you set your graphics preferences (GRAPHICSCONFIG) to 'Basic Mode' it will also show the dotted selection line instead of the blue highlight.

They are using s 2020(?) EDU Software, so no one at Autodesk is going to talk to them, but Licensing might get a referral instead.

strange that @wcthunder27 OP screenshot showed 2020 edu but then the last post showed 2024:

"fyi: my AutoCAD 2024 crashed on me with a "License Error" a couple of days ago."

the screenshot was referenced to a user you helped years ago. His problem is the problem I want. I had "2019 classic" workspace loaded onto my"2024" version with Autodesk support, of course.

Hi @wcthunder27

Thank you for your feedback.

From the discussion in this page, I suppose you prefer the Basic mode selection effect but cannot accept the display quality. Set SELECTIONEFFECT=0 should make the selection effect as you need (I attach an image below). However, you said it didn't work on your side.

Could you please share a screen shot to show the selection effect on your device, when setting SELECTIONEFFECT=0?

Thanks!
