when I want to draw a 35 feet length line using inches as units, the line goes out of the display area and I can't zoom to have full view of it

what settings should i change to draw bigger line and yet have a complete view of it? please someone help me..

confirm your Units are set to Architectural

at the command line enter LIMITS

leave the Lower Left Corner alone select ENTER

change the Upper Right Corner to something like 500,500

ZOOM E should display the entire line without regard to any LIMITS setting.

 

Are you using the ZOOM command or the mouse wheel??  The mouse wheel will limit zooms to the last cache size.

 

Are you drawing through a viewport in paperspace?  if the viewport is locked it's zoom scale is set, unlock it, or use the model tab for drawing.

thanks for the reply..but it has not solved my problem.....my units are set to be Architectural and The LIMITS set to be 500, 500. but when i enter the length of the line to be 30 feet, the second point of the line goes out of the screen and I can't zoom to see that point
