Line Merge Objects in Model Space with Objects in Paper Space

Hello,

I have a problem that I cannot seem to find a solution for.  On my design sheet, the top half has a grid along with annotations for a profile in paper space.  My profile is drawn in model space, and the viewport is placed within the grid.  On the bottom half, I have a viewport with my plan view, and my annotations in paper space.

When I go to plot, whether I change the setting for "Plot Paperspace Last", one of my viewports will print incorrectly.  Either the grid will overwrite everything in my profile on the top half, or the line work in the plan will overwrite all my annotations in the bottom half.

I just want all the objects to merge when I print, regardless of whether they are in model or in paper space.  Is there a way I can do this?

The Line Merge option is selected in my Plot Settings.

I've attached screenshots of my issue.

Thanks,

Try this: use DRAWORDER command to fix where your items fall, and turn off LineMerge so it does not conflict with what you set.

Hi Dean,

Thanks for your reply.  I tried DRAWORDER and setting the orders the way I wanted them, and left my plot setting at "Line Overwrite" but the issue persists.  I can't seem to figure out a way for me to merge all objects (both model and paper space) when plotting.

I've attached a couple of screenshots of my plot settings.  I've tried both Lines Overwrite as you suggested, and Lines Merge in conjunction with the DRAWORDER command, to no avail.  Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Hi Dean,

I turned off Plot transparency and turned on Plot paperspace last, and checked "Lines Merge."  My hard copy plots come out correctly, it's just in the print preview where it doesn't look correct.  So I guess my issue is resolved.  Probably just a bug in the print preview not showing correctly.

Thanks for your help!
