Hi! I am an user of AutoCad 2017 for students and i found problem to add some sections to the model. When I try to do so, it shows up that this command is not available in the area of model. That is why, i cannot mark the place of drop-down section. Thanks for any help with this problem ๐Ÿ˜‰

What command are you useing?

 

Can you provide a screen shot of the message?

 

Layouts can be added by clicking on the plus tab next to layouts.

You can manage your view by typing VIEW

That's correct. In the model space you cannot use the sectionview command.

At first you must create a base view (see attached pic), then you can create additional views (like section view or others).
