May I ask why you need such a non-existent feature in AutoCAD? Let us know what it is you are trying to create for example.

Since standard Metric paper sizes are measured in Millimeters it would not make sense to setup a Layout with Meters as the paper size.

It seems some are assuming you mean the word "layout" as in paper space Layouts as AutoCAD uses the word.  Is that right, or are you talking about laying out things like building or sitework dimensions?

If the latter, the drawing unit in AutoCAD can represent anything you want it to, from an angstrom to a parsec.

Hello

I am trying to set a proper scale in the Windows which are created in paper space.

As i have a model space in meters i would like tò set the proper scale as 1:1000 insted of rearranged 1:1 in the paper space window views.

Anyway i have set u the plot scale 1000 mm as 1 unit and the problem Is solved.

Thanks
