Layer Properties Manager not

Hi,

I just upgraded to AutoCAD 2016 and the Layer Properties Manager doesn't display correctly for some reason. I've attached the screenshot below.

I have been using CLASSICLAYER command for now but it's not as convenient as using the LAYER command.

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Thanks

I started having this happen to me yesterday afternoon. I have shut down AutoCAD, and restarted my computer several times. When I first open AutoCAD the Layer Properties Manager appears properly (I have a standard template drawing that automaticlly opens), see 'normal.png'. As soon as I open a drawing to work on it, the Layer Properties Manager blacks out, see 'unuseable.png'.

Hello,

Has anyone been able to solve this condition?  This started for me when I started using AutoCAD 2015 and has continued into 2017 which I now currently use.  As a previous suggestion, restart AutoCAD does work for the moment, it does not address the long term condition of constantly recurring. Restarting AutoCAD every ten minutes is not a productive solution.  I have attached a screenshot of my similar condition.  All the layers white out or black out, as in the screenshot. If you select a random layer to highlight it, it will show the name but nothing else.  Thank you for your help in advance.

I am using plain AutoCad 2017. I like to have the full layers properties window attached to the left side of the screen as well as the properties window. Sometimes they do not appear when I open my first drawing, usually an existing dwg. The properties window will appear when I click on the menu icon. The layers window will not. Instead, it gives me the layer command in the command line. Sometimes I can go to the View tab on the ribbon and click that icon and get it but only sometimes. Restarting AutoCad does not solve the problem for me. "Classiclayer" no longer works in 2017, it appears.
