Layer manager tool bar is not working

auto cad 2012 - layer manager bar - does not acknowledge - line type / color of line / line type.

   How do I fix this?

Could you please clarify what you mean by "does not acknowledge" do you mean the line type menu does not come up when you click on it or the select color pallet when you click on the line color?

When the line (or object) is selected, no information shows up in the
layer manager tool bar (i.e. layer, line type, line weight, etc).

It is just a graphical error when the work station gets too warm. Try shutting down and taking a quick break let the monitor sit and see how that works
