I am using AutoCAD Architecture 2019.  How do I prevent 'Layer Key Overrides' from becoming enabled each time I open a .dwg file? It happens again if I turn it off and save and close, and reopen it again, it opens with the feature enabled again. It happens on all .dwg files, all the time. I never change the workspace or profile. I never touch customization settings. I just want the program to keep the 'off' setting for Layer Key Overrides, it is a very annoying feature that I don't want to use.

I can't repeat the behavior here.

I added a discipline designator of AI and added some walls, doors, furniture, and equipment.  They all had the modified discipline designator.  I unchecked the "enable all overrides" button in the AEClayerKeyOverride dialog, closed and reopened the drawing and the check box remained off.  I added some stairs and the resulting layer added was A-Flor-Strs, indicating that the discipline designator was not being overridden on newly created layers.  Those already created didn't revert to the layerkey standard but I didn't expect them to.

Are you saying that the checkbox reappears or that the old layer names remain overridden?

I don't use any AEC, my drawing is all lines, self created 2d blocks with lines. The issue is that in my title block I have an image inserted, with an image frame, and I do not want the image frame to print. So I go 'image frame' and set it to the number it needs to be as off and not printing, then I save it, I would expect that if I save and close, and re-open it, it would still have the same setting, but no. I need to again set image frame to the number for off and not print. This seems to stop happening if I disable layer key overrides. But every time I re open the file again, I need to disable layer key overrides again. Basically all the features along the bottom of the screen have to be turned off each time I open a file.

Based on your second post, your issue has no relationship to AutoCAD Architecture whatsoever. The issue isn't even related to layer key overrides. Your post shouldn't even be in this news group.

To keep the imageframe from printing, either set frame to 0 or 2 or set imageframe to 0 or 2.  Using 2 allows the images to be selectable.  The frame command controls all  types of frames (clipping, image, wipeout, etc.) . Imageframe just controls the visibility and plottability of image frames. In some cases, it is necessary to change the imageframe to something else than the current setting and then back to 0 or 2 to stop plotting. I can't recreate your issue relating to a relationship between imageframe and layer key overrides.
