Layer filter Ribbon control broken

At some point in the murky history of AutoCAD the layer filter drop down control was removed from the default ribbon panel, and subsequently broken.

It can be replaced through editing the CUI, however the control itself is still broken visually (see attached images).  The control works when clicked on, though it doesn't actually appear.

This was broken in 2017, and is still broken in 2018.

Has anyone got any suggestions for a fix or a workaround?

Agree, I can reproduce this here in 2017 and 2018. Open a support request with Autodesk.

I too am seeing this issue in AutoCAD 2017 and 2018. It does appear correctly in AutoCAD 2016. Please let me research a bit to see if I can find a solution on this  display problem.

I too distinctly remembering this control working in an earlier version - I can't remember which though..

I have raised a support ticket with Autodesk support, and this has been escalated to "Autodesk Development".

I am awaiting a response..

Yes, I did test this also in AutoCAD 2016 where it works properly.

I am glad that you got it in front of the development team. I am not sure that it is a high priority item but it might be an easy correction for a future hotfix.
