LARGE DASH LINES

Hi please see selected Polylines, My Hidden lines is scaled at 1 (default) but it doesn't scale even if i change its scaletype. It only changes if the scale is 0.02 but it is too small. bigger scale than 0.02 results to this too much spacing on lines. please help. thank you.

Post your file please.

You can delete all unaffected objects beforehand.

And let us know which AutoCAD version you use (post the ABOUT window).

After opening your file (in ACAD 2025) I see this:

For me it seems to look well. What do you expect instead.

[EDIT:]

... and also tested in ACAD 2022 1.4 - same result. Her I can not see problems.

Its a block.

Fix it in the Block Editor (double click the block, then close block editor) change layer and its properties:

Hi. i think the problem is the settings or laptop error? I tried opening another blank drawing and made a line, it is fine but after changing the line into a dashed line, it disappeared again or like, became bigger spacing. I also tried opening old drawings and its the same. dashed lines are big.

Yep. Mybe you have a mix of metric and imperial linetypes. See also the help for MEASUREMENT system variable.

I think the MATCHPROP command will be the easiest and quickest way to repair the wrong "scaled" object properties.

Could be a compatibility issue with your graphics driver. Set GfxDx12 to 0 and restart AutoCAD. Still not fixed then enter GraphicsConfig and change 2d Display settings to another option. If still no change in GraphicsConfig disable Hardware acceleration. Also you can try updating your graphics driver in Windows OS

Well, with each AutoCAD release the graphics requirements changes. So graphics drivers that may have no issues with a prior release may suddenly experience problems similar to what you've experienced when a newer version is installed. This is why Autodesk provided an option to forego the newer version graphics enhancements by having the GFXDX12 disable it for backwards graphics driver support. You can read up more on this topic here:

How to use a previous DirectX version in AutoCAD Products (autodesk.com)
