Keeping Attributes in blocks linked wherever the block is used.

I've looked in this forum for a solution to being able to bring in a block that has an attribute in it which is nothing more then a tag #.  If I insert a block into multiple places in my drawing I want to be able to change my tag number attached to the block and have the number update in all locations.  Rather then have the same block with different tag #'s.

Then make the attribute a constant. But then you will need go to Block Editor to change it's value.

Thanks a ton BeeKeeCZ, that is the closest I've came to getting the desired outcome.  A bit of a pain to have to go into the editor to change it's value but still works.  Would rather be able to double click on it like normal attribute to fill in the value.
