Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know how can I figure out what exactly the issue of this? If I print the drawing, the label barcode shows normal. When I plot it to PDF, the code shows pretty wide (image 2), it is supposed to show as image 3. Please help.

What type of object is the bar code?  an image? Post a sample dwg.

@vvren3101 ,

Use this workaround:

Use a PDF printer (for example "Microsoft Print to PDF") to create PDF files with bar codes instead of "Export to PDF".

Hi Emilio,

Thank you for your response. That bar code doesn't show if I choose print and pick "microsoft print to pdf". It only shows when I plot it to PDF.

I only know it is part of attributes, it's been set up by someone else...

"someone else" will need to help you remove it.

MSP2PDF may not be able to save/store fonts to PDFs, find out, then do the same with all other PDF drivers you wish to use it for this one file.

You can still post a sample dwg if you want others to help.

Hi Emilio,

I tried PDF printer and the bar code works properly. Thank you. I usually need to plot 20-50 pages pdf, how can I make them done in one time by PDF printer?

I uploaded my cad file below, could you please help me check it what exactly issue?

Thank you.

you forgot to include this needed font, not all of us are going to have it, it is unique to you at the moment (and if you don't have it, that's likely the problem in the first place, you need to get it from whomever created your DWG file).

I don't see a bar code. It looks like it's in a block and the attribute text is *XXXX.CB.LB11*. I don't have the required font. The name has the word "Free" in it. This may be a problem of 'you get what you pay for'.

Update: I found the font you used and was able to reproduce the problem using the "DWG to PDF.pc3" driver. I then plotted it with Bluebeam pdf driver and the barcode came out as expected. So it seems that it's a problem with the combination of that font and the AutoCAD driver. Try a different font or upgrade to Bluebeam.

Thank you so much for helping me.  I will look for the same font and see, it was set by someone who left this job long time ago. Anyway, thank you.
