What is the colour of the layer the hatch is on?

What is the background colour you are using for the hatch?

Is it displaying as solid black on screen?  or on hardcopy?

If the former, are you using Lineweights?  and is the lineweght of the hatch to heavy?

For better ilustration... I insert 3 images

First image is autocad 2014, in the layout mode with plot style applied ... no problem is how we want to see

Secon image is autocad 2015, in the layout mode without plot style applied

Third image is autocad 2015, in the layout mode with plot style applied ... the hatch is totaly black.

fourth image ... properties of the hatch

Is the same file... opened in both vertions

Sorry for my english ... I am in Colombiahatch-no-issue-2014.JPGhatch-no-plotstyle-2015.JPGhatch-with-plotstyle-2015.JPGhatch-properties-no-issue-2014.JPG

AutoCAD graphics engine is different in 2015: nothing like 2014. Your video card is not handling it well. Turn off LINESMOOTHING in 2015 (it's not in 2014) and see if your problem goes away.

ANSI32 hatch does not look solid here in 2015 with your posted settings.

Type it at the comandline: look it up in HELP in 2015 for an explanation.
Hope that fix works for you.

Hi there, digging up an old thread here but having the same issues in version 2019 and seem to have sorted a solution.

The key is to create a layer that plots in colour for the hatch, (using .stb plot styles set the layer plot style to 'normal') and use a dark colour (250) for the layer to represent the black lines of the hatch pattern.

Create the hatch on this layer and add the background colour to the hatch (I chose a shade that also plots in colour) and now it displays the same in paper space and when plotted to hard copy or PDF.

I've added 3 images, first being the layer manager settings, second the hatching shown in model space and lastly, shown in paper space.

Hope this helps!
