Is there a way to select only unique lines in same layer?

Good day everyone,

I have a question about selecting unique lines. Right now we have a problem that if a model in our 3D environment has a bug, all models will be exported to autoCAD in 1 layer. This way we can not easily select hidden lines for example.

It would be handy if we can export the line twice, once without hidden lines and one with hidden lines. Then my question is if there is a command/tool to select only the unique lines, which happen to be the hidden lines in my case.

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Robert

Hi,

i think QSELECT command will help a lot ( see below image ) .  or you can also try FILTER command . >> Click <<  also you can by SELECTSIMILAR command do that  ( Notice the SEttings ) .

Command: SELECTSIMILAR
Select objects or [SEttings]:

Just playing with newly upgraded DWG Compare feature in 2020... it looks like it may get the job done.

The trick is that it does not compare layer differences. And it can import new objects.

Let's say you have dwg1 without hidden, dwg2 with hidden.

Rename layer in dwg1

Run DWG compare with dwg1 as first (green).

Hide objects that are in dwg1 only.

Import all differences.

Save.

Not sure what of that could be done in 2019, skipped the version.

That sounds interesting!! We don't work with 2020 yet, but I will check IT here to see if we can go to 2020 soon.

The other solution using QSELECT won't work, since all the properties are equal. But thanks anyway!

I wrote that wrong, but you got the idea.

HERE is the screencast. You'll see my desperate clicking on the setting button... apparently, the feature is still new...
