hi all, i posted a question here in customisation

I am trying to pull point coordinates from model space and put them on a table

i had another idea, to use fields.

is there a way use a field in paperspace that identifies a point in model space through a viewport?

Thru a viewport not, the object has nothing to do with your viewport,

but sure you can read object data by using a field.

it doesn't matter where the object is and where the field.

How to

Create the table in modelspace, clip&paste to layout don't work?

Then:

1. Copy fieldcodes step by step

2. A tool to copy fields can also help.

Bye

cheers

I am trying to make a tool or block for my team who do this regularly

At the moment the team are ID'ing points and copying them to an excel table, then converting them from mm to meters

then copying and pasting the text geo coordinates to a table in paperspace.

trying to think of a better way

hi @cadffm  i don't wish to extract the data from cad to an excel spreadsheet,

id like to get the 5 points x and y (divide them by 1000), that are in model space, and put them on a table in paper space
