There are tutorials in AutoCAD 2018. Click on the START tab, then on the left of the screen, click the LEARN text (it also has a left pointing arrow). That will take you to the "Getting Started Videos" and offer other resources and learning tips.

... you can also purchase books on the topic from websites like Amazon.Com if you find the 1000s of free content on the web and on YouTube too overwhelming.

Thank you, Brian - however, when I clicked on the 'Start' tab (Autodesk AutoCAD 2018 - Student Version), I saw (instead of your 'LEARN' tab):

* a little window entitled 'Start Drawing'

then below, the links:

* 'Open Files'

* 'Open a Sheet Set'

* 'Get More Templates Online', and

* 'Explore Sample Drawings'.

What a contrast between your condescending reply ... and Brian's - where he attempted to be helpful.

I am aware that I can buy books from Amazon.  I searched on the www and, while there may well be 1000s of pages of text about AutoCAD, the closest thing I could find to a User Manual or Introduction to AutoCAD was the "AutoCAD 2016 Tutorial" that I mentioned. Which is not much use as the UI seems to have changed, with AutoCAD 2018.

I have no interest in perusing You-Tube as I prefer to read ... rather than watch (I can read faster than the typical flow of information in a video).

Regards,

Andy
