I have noticed my drawings missing work after the drawings are reopened the following day. I save and close but something seems to still be missing. Is there a hard save you can do before you close for the day?

A save is a save. There is zero reason (AutoCAD related) why your work would not be getting written to the file on disk. What location are you saving to? A network share? If so, what are the specs on this network share. AutoCAD is real particular about certain technologies and hardware ( see this ).

Related: I'd ensure ISAVEPERCENT is set to 0, and keep an eye on your Windows Explorer when you save and make sure the DWG file time actually changes when you save. If you ever see it disappear or not update, look for a new .TMP file in the same folder.
