insertion of a Table with Annotative settings?

I use a variety of scales for assemblies. I use the "Table" command to insert a table that references an excel file.

Is there a way to have the table annotative?

I want to be able to have the text height to be consistent with  the dimensions and other text.

I currently insert my table and scale up the table. Then when the table is updated with additional rows, the new text maintains the original text height, and requires editing.

I have also deleted the table and re-inserted it. Then scale it again.

Hi @jploughman,

If you are adding data that is contained in the drawing file(s) have you considered doing a DATAEXTRACTION and writing the results to an Excel file? Then, using a Datalink, you can add a table.

I am not aware of any way to make a table annotative (maybe in a block?) but I usually place mine in a paperspace layout so I have never needed to change the scale.

If you like to attach some sample files to a post I am happy to investigate further.
