Inserting Excel Sheet containing hyperlink

Hi!I am having issues inserting an excel sheet that has hyperlinks in it to AutoCAD. When I transfer the table across to AutoCAD from excel, the data is transferred, however the hyperlink that was generated in excel only appears as a number and the link is lost. Is there a way I could transfer data from excel without losing the hyperlink?

I believe it is you Excel Hyperlinks showing in AutoCAD.

You can turn them off inside Excel then Import to AutoCAD.

Hope this helps.

When linking an Excel file containing Hyperlinks, it will only show up as text.

To use the hyperlinks, you must open the file.

Consider "Data Link" and Insert Table 'from a data link',  or use "Hyperlink".

Yes.... I did not test his method and it was all wrong.

But if you make your Data Link / Table like this guy shows the Link Stays but none of unwanted symbols show up.

Thanks JRR. But as CADffm mentioned, my problem is that the hyperlink in excel is no copied across just as a number with no link in AutoCAD. I have 100’s of rows with image hyperlinks in excel. When transferring **** as a table/ data link to excel, I want those hyperlinks to remain. So that even when I click the number in AutoCAD, it opens the image. Is there a way to address this issue?##- Please type your reply above this line

When you edit a hyperlink in Excel there are two fields in the format window. The upper field contains the display text, the lower field contains the link text:

AutoCAD generally ignores background property information in Excel cells (e.g. text style, cell position, etc.) during the import process. However, the hyperlinks will transfer as hyperlinks if the "Text to Display" field contains the same info as the "Address" field.

If you print using one of the AutoCAD PDF converters, the hyperlinks will also transfer into the PDF and can be accessed from Adobe when reading the output file.
