inserting a location plan (google map) to autocad

Not applicable

Hey everyone, so I was hoping somebody might be able to help me. I am trying to go about inserting a small scale location plan from say google maps to autocad. If anybody can give me a quick walk through on how to do this if it is possible, it would be appreciated. Thanks

What version of AutoCAD are you using? If you are using 2014 and newer, have you considered Geolocation? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6a5ernexhU

Also, do you have a license to use Google Maps data in AutoCAD? Presuming you have simply used a Screenshot? If so, this isnt really allowed.

Ideally used licensed data with a world file so that it inserts in the right geo location. Alternatively look at free data for simple things as location plans or simply trace it to create whats needed.
