insert icons or tool palette

hi.  I am doing a 2d site plan and want to insert into the drawing things like: hydrant symbol, walkways, parking etc.

I assume there is a website that has hundreds of these objects where you can search and download the ones you want?

The tool palette attachment is only my assumption as to where such things go.

Should you perhaps be using AutoCAD Civil3D instead of plain AutoCAD?

Do a google search for free cad blocks... add to your search what it is your looking for.  Download the blocks that will work for you and insert them into your drawing.  You can then drag the blocks to whichever toolbar you want.  I pasted your question into a google search... see link below.  Have fun!

THANK YOU. I did not know what to search for. AutoCAD has its own
vocabulary.
