insert drawing scale auto in layout

I want to insert my drawing scale automatically in my layout. I can do it for the file name, date and layout name. Scale layout.JPG

Thx for your help

Hi @Anonymous,

 

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

 

This can be done with fields just like you are doing with your other titleblock information.

 

Simply create a new field and point it to the viewport frame. Then select the scale property.

 

An even more elaborate way to do this might be to use the SheetSet manager and create views with callouts.

 

I made a quick video of the first method for you.

i probably miss a step because i can't do it like you ...i can't select ''viewport'' in field screen

the scale i got is 1:16 but my scale is 3/4'' = 1'

Hi @Anonymous,

 

When I created my Field I had it set to object and then I used the pick button to allow me to select the viewport. Once you have done this you can change the viewport scale but you will need to do a regen to get the field to update.

all right ...just because 3/4''=1' is the same as 1:16. So, i remove 1:16 front my list and everything is good.
