As I know Tangent direction option specify orientation of an item relative to the path but how to specify the direction?

suppose x angle is specified then how to check tht the given angle is x? please show me

Here I have given 56 degree,

The result is

Let's say I would like to create 6 copies of the red polyline along t eh white spline such that the long segment of the red shape is tangent to the spline.

Move the red shape so that the end it is a the start of the spline.

Give the arraypath command and pick the red polyline for the object and the spline for the path. Specify T (tangent) and pick the points #1 and #2 as noted below.

This the result.

If you what the shape rotated to a specific angle create reference points relative to the shape to define that angle.

From your answer I have known a Tangent direction is used to orient a side of an object tangentially to the path. But if you read about Tangent direction

It says : Specifies the orientation of the first item relative to the path curve.

so it means there can be any orientation of an object relative to the path. It is not necessary that the orientation should always be tangent..Right??
