Improve MTEXT List Formatting

Problem

The problem is that the formatting for numbered lists, for example, forces you to repeat the list number of the parent item in each sub-item. Because of this, the numbers in the list end up becoming very long quickly after you nest text just a few times. This is shown below to illustrate the point more clearly:

Solution

The solution would be to allow users to omit the parent numbers in the list so that only the new numbering in the list shows up. This would clean up the formatting and make it possible to have neat and tidy lists.

Greetings @ryanlaughlin
This is not the place to ask for features in the program: but you can do so where Autodesk looks for them, here https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback

Alteratives to consider:
1) Format your MTEXT document using TABs placements, turn off autonumbering, enter manually, and do as you wish.
2) Unless those change 100% of the time all the time from project to project, why not make the above as a BLOCK then just edit per project.
3) use MSWord to write your specifications then OLE link that into your DWG file if you are in dire need of automated numbering. Especially if you have to submit spec sheets with your final project drawings too.

I'm sure other ideas will follow from other users like you and me, stay tuned.
