Importing line thickness from AutoCAD into Microsoft Visio

I import AutoCAD 2015 sketches to MS Visio 2013 using copy & paste from AutoCAD to Visio. But there is only one line thickness in Visio (in AutoCAD different thickness) - how can I change it?

Visio doesn't do that: visit the Microsoft Visio support forums and inquire there on what options if any you might have.

Thanks for this information. I had nothing found in the Visio World therefore I would like to hear the workaround from other AutoCAD and Visio Users... I believe it is an AutoCAD Issue?

'importing' is a limitation of the receiving software, not the source software.

While you wait for others... explore these good tips for Visio and CAD import:
http://flylib.com/books/en/2.332.1.113/1/

The second page here offers a Visio top to reset lweights:

Thank you for these helpful literature.

Issue was that

1. Line Weights can only set in Visio without Copy & Paste - only with Insert..CAD Drawing and then you can modify Properties like AutoCAD layers

2. I had not defined any layers within AutoCAD. I really miss WYSIWYG in AutoCAD - I am used it from other CAD software like NX or CATIA. But now I know how it works.

Thanks

Michael
