importing 3d dwg file into 3ds max proparly

first of all im sorry for my poor english, i hope i can explain myself

problem is whenever i try to import dwg file into 3ds max its import all drawing as one object. i cant seperate nor edit it. ive tried on many version of autocad and 3ds max but no difference. searched it on google and autodesk forums but cant solved it. basicly my question is how can i include AutoCad's drawing to 3dsMax with properly editably?

Thank you for posting to the forums.

It may have to do with how file was imported, take a look at this overview on how to, you want to make sure you have your layers set to be viewed (unfreeze,unlock etc.) & select it to "ALL">"Ok".
