Image in XRef title block doesn't rotate

Solved, sort of. See below

In our SD package, most of the sheets are portrait, but a few are landscape. We are using the same titleblock file for all sheets. When the title block xref is rotated 90 degrees for the landscape sheets the embedded client logo image stays in portrait orientation. Why is this happening?

I removed the embedded image and inserted the logo through the raster tools tab. Stays rotated.

Would you share a sample drawing along with a sample xref and image that exhibits your issue?  At the very least, I think you will need to share detailed screenshots so we can see what the problem is.

I removed the embedded image and inserted it again through the raster tools tab. Works fine now.

Hi @McCannBQ7ML,

Thank you for posting your question. Images can be placed in AutoCAD by either attaching (Xref) or embedding (OLE).

Attached images behave as geometry, and the orientation will change with the other objects in the drawing.

Embedded images hold their orientation in relation to the UCS. See the following Autodesk Knowledge Network (AKN) article for more information:

Many customer resolve this by creating separate landscape and portrait versions of their title blocks.

All the best,
