Hi all,

I am setting up a block for cable labels to go on schematics and because some of the attributes will be controlled by lookup lists within the block, and the attribute will be invisible on drawings, is there a way to make them not to appear on the properties panel, to avoid accidentally typing in and removed the field used to feed from the lookup table?

Just close your Properties Panel when working on your Labels.

or just above where the Attributes show on the Property Panel there is an ARROW. Hit the arrow and it will close the Attributes Panel only.

Now you wont see any Attributes. (See attached file... Paste does not work on my computer)

Hope this helps!

Thanks, JRR!

Unfortunately, I would need the panel as list box can use for the lookup table and hence for the set attributes, as in the picture for instance.

I guess that may be no solution. Thanks anyway 🙂

Massimo,

Wow, nice setup for your cables and all the options. Be neat to see the out come of how your cables look when you select your options.

I did not realize the other day, but I worked with a Massimo some years back. He was our GE contact for our GSA Contracts.

Maybe add your request to the LISP'ers Forum. Someone there may have a way if typing a Lisp command to do what you need.

Thanks, JRR!

Thanks JRR, all the data are actually to be used in MS Access to create Wiring Schedule, the intention is to simplify and facilitate coordination between the 2 documents, as most of the comments from clients comes for the schematics only even when affecting the schedule as well. The schematic will only show Cable Type and ID, the rest, with Type and ID, is shown on the schedule.

Yep, Massimo is a more common name than people outside Italy may realise 🙂

I'll give a look at the lisp forum, thanks
