Hyperlinks

Hello,

I would greatly appreciate any help for the following matter - I need hyperlinks in a drawing created in AutoCAD and then published to PDF, not to open a DWG file itself but to open a relevant page from the published PDF drawings.

Can this be accomplished in CAD or this is a job within "Adobe" and if this can be created only in Adobe PDF, is it required to use the paid version vs free one?

For instance, on the attached screen shot you will see an example for a symbol detail and what I need is -  by clicking on the detail arrow to open the relevant page for that detail within the PDF.

Thank you, guys.

It is fairly simple to hyperlink something in a DWG file to a specific file with any file extension. But to a specific view in a page of a multi-page PDF, I think that should be done within a PDF editor.

Unfortunately it is not possible to open a certain page in PDF from a hyperlink command in CAD.

The post referred to in my first post actually has a way to do it(MESSAGE 14 OF 15). But it might go wrong once you share the file to another person, or move the file.

But the hyperlinks you are referring to is between multiple PDF files or between multiple pages in a PDF right? that should be done in a PDF editor.

Let me try to explain it again maybe I didn't use the right words in the first place.

Imagine two DWG files with some objects and lets say a symbol showing that  the elevation view is on the second drawing. By just publishing the DWG files to PDF won't give an option to click on the detail symbol in the PDF for  the elevation and just open the appropriate page for that elevation in the PDF so hyperlinks must be used.

I was thinking whether  hyperlinks for that specific purpose can be created in CAD or that is a job for PDF creator.

So you are looking for a PDF to PDF hyper link. The answer is PDF Editor.
