How to Trim the Arrayed Objects?

Hi everyone.

Please find attached two snapshots. The one with grids is the one I am working on. The other one in white background is what I want to achieve. I made these circles and line by using the Polar Array function. Now I want to do the trimming to reach my goal. But the Trim function is not working on the arrayed objects. Can anyone help me out?

I have solved the issue I was facing. For people having same issue: When arrays are formed, all your objects are locked. To unlock them, you can simply use the explode command. Or you can also edit the arrayed object by using "edit source" option under the Array ribbon.
