how to select one of face on 3D solid object

Hi, there,

I made 3D solid in AutoCAD.

I would like to select face of solid and then add color.

Is it possible to select one of face??

Does anyone know how to do?~

Thank you!

Hi,

>> I would like to select face of solid

Use <CTRL> and >click< to select a subobject from your 3D-Solid.

After you have selected it you can use the property window to assign a different color and/or material.

Another option is to start command _SOLIDEDIT ==> Face ==> coLor ... and then select a face on your 3D-Solid.

Hi,

No, it's a CAD-system, not a visualization- or animation software

A workaround could be to create a material with texture map, whereas the texture map is a painted image ... and assign that material to the face.

But that's not very easy to handle.

Looks like the Hatch command would work for that unless I don't understand what you are after.
