How to remove green dot from Osnap to a center

Hello. I just got a new computer at work and everything got transferred over from my old computer to my new one, including AutoCAD 2021 that I was working on. Since then, I brought back my saved CUI and workplace settings and that seems to all work, except for a couple of items I just noticed. One is this issue about the green dot. It's only happening when I have my Osnap on and I'm snapping to the center of a circle and this green dot shows up like the image attached. The other snaps, don't have this issue. I've never had this issue before and need to know how to remove this green dot and the only thing I see is the snap(circle) for the center of an item. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

some questions:

  • How big is your object snap marker set?
  • And is it just the center object snap or does this green point also appear when you have "center" disabled inside the list of active object snaps?
  • Have you 3D-object snap activated or not?
  • Does the same happen is you turn off hardware acceleration
  • Did this happen also before you have migrated from your old settings?

Answers to your questions.

  • Marker size did not change on this new computer from the old one. Attached image shows the current settings.
  • When I have the center selected on the Osnap, this happens. If I turn the osnap off and type center of an object, no dot appears.
  • 3D snap not activated. Wasn't activated on my old computer.
  • If I turn the HA off, no dot seems to appear. But both my new and old computer had it on and the old computer didn't have this green dot.
  • No.

I'm thinking maybe after shutting down for the weekend and turning it back on next Monday I won't have this problem, but I'll have to wait and see.

Hi,

can you reproduce this with a new dwg? Just a cylinder, and start command _LINE with object snap to "CENter"?

Rebooting a system could not be the worst thing before playing with an issue.

As you replied that this behavior did not happen before migration I would think about resetting the AutoCAD profile and do the settings manually instead of the migration automatism.

Still does it on a new drawing file, but not on lines, but on 3D objects. And I noticed if I move/start from a center of a cylinder, there is not green dot, but when I move this center of a cylinder to another center point, then I get the green dot.

Hi,

>> but when I move this center of a cylinder to another center point

So you see this green point after the move command is finished ... as like it's a snap point and not an object snap?

Please start command _ABOUT and show us a screenshot of this dialog

Hi,

the screenshot shows that your AutoCAD is not updated, it should show (currently) 2021.1

Please start with this update.

That seemed to work. What is weird is that my old computer had this new update and I just assumed that when Autocad 2021 was installed on this new one, it would have the same updates, but apparently it did not. Thanks for your help!
