How to Publish PDFs in monochrome or black and white?

I can print monochrome to PDF, but if I publish, it goes to color.

I have read the forms, and the solutions don't seem to work with my file. Something about an AutoCAD monochrome. and change to solid I don't see this as a choice and my Layer Properties - Plot Style is grayed out.

As it is I am printing each Layout tab to monochrome PDF then using Adobe to put files together.

Thank you

Hi,

i suggest to prepare page setup for your settings and use it when publish.

I'm guessing because publishing is using the Default None page setup, which is changing your pen table for plotting purposes.  Setup a new named page setup with theproperties you wish to use including pen table:

Well, not sure what happened. but it just printed into PDF as back and white monochrome.

I think it worked as I changed in the plot window to monochrome and "Apply to layout" for each layout tab.

Thank you for anyone that replied.

I have created a page layout template that I use when trying to Publish to B&W .pdf.  I have turned all of the colors in the pen table to plot black only, but it only works about half the time. I have to convert several thousand drawings to .pdf and I cannot figure out why it works on some drawings and not on others.

I've attached the plot template I've created for someone to look at. I use the 8.5x11 most often. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Hello,

I'm having the same issue. One DWG publishes a B&W PDF, an other DWG publishes in the layer colors. Both DWG's have same settings for plotstyle and printer, throughout all pages. I selected the same Page Setup for all sheets in both cases.

Does anyone have any tips on what settings to change or what causes this issue?Batchpublish DWG 1Batchpublish DWG 1 PDF of DWG 1PDF of DWG 1Batchpublish DWG 2Batchpublish DWG 2PDF of DWG 2PDF of DWG 2

I figured out why the plot was not in black and white. The selected page setup in the Batch Publish setup was not correctly configured. I edited the page setup "PDF" in the page setup manager. It stated that it did not recognized the driver and resetted to "none". After setting up the new "PDF" page setup the batch publish was black&white!

Thanks anyway and hope this might help out someone else....
