How to make an Attribute Definition in a block transparent

I have a boarder that will have an Attribute Definition as a watermark. The wording would change as the drawing goes through different stages. The Attribute Definition is in the boarder block and I can make it transparent in the block but when I save the changes and exit it is no longer transparent. I also tried creating a new layer with it being transparent just for the watermark in the block. How can I make it transparent?

And you really checked this by a NEWLY created  Blockreferenz (INSERT)  in the same file?

Or is it as DWG, you insert into another file?

then check TRANSPARENCYDISPLAY setting in your target file.

This was a block I created from scratch.

Show your work: share your DWG file with the problem in it.

Working without any problems..

EDIT::

But different to what you say "I can make it transparent in the block" you didn't!

The transparency is set to ByLayer,

the Layer is Layer "Border" and transparenxy of Layer "Border" is: 0 = zero = Nothing transparency.

So what do I need to do to make it appear 75 - 80% transparent outside the block?

Change your layer's Transparency setting to anything other than 0 would be a good start: is there something specific about that last reply did not fully understand? To recap it

1) The transparency (of your object) is set to ByLayer

2) the Layer (your object is on) is Layer "Border"

3) transparency of Layer "Border" (in LAYER command) is set to 0 (that's a zero)

4) zero for transparency means there is Nothing transparent.

So the top picture is changing the transperancy to 80, but when I exit and save it hasn't changed. (see picture 2)

I created a new layer, the color I wanted and the transparency I wanted. Then deleted the Attribute Definition and created a new one and put it on the new layer. It still didn't change.

the best way is: Set the object  transparency to 75,76,77,78,79 or 80 instead of "ByLayer"

or if oyu like to controle the % by layer Border: Change the transparency of Layer Border to 75,76,77,78,79 or 80 instead of 0

I need it to appear in the enhanced block editor. But I would like it to be in the border block. The transparency may change on an individual basis. If you have time could we setup a gotomeeting or teams meeting?

>>"I need it to appear in the enhanced block editor."

But there is no access to object transparency, so you have to start an idea post an wish it from Adesk

Nobody here can change the program.

>>"But I would like it to be in the border block. "

enhanced block editor is for attributes on blockreferences, not for attributdefinitions in blocks

Q: What is your Problem? What are you trying and why?

>>"The transparency may change"

Best way, if the rest of the block is not set to transparency=ByBlock => set Transparency to ByBlock

But I show you a workaround for what you want:

Select the Attribut! and change the property in PropertiesPalette[CTRL+1]

How to: Press and hold CTRL, while you pick an Attribute.

You can change  all properties of this attribute in PropertiesPalette now.

This support is not available for free, sorry.
