How to import more than 20 items in Custom Properties?

Hello Folks,

anyone can help me in order to import more than 20 items in Custom Properties(Drawing Utilities=>Drawing Properties). I tried propulate function but it did not work. I need to do that everytime I start a new drawing.

Sorry I did not find any topic that  seemed to request it.

I am using AutoCad 2018

Thanks in advance.

Have you considered putting them into your template rather than importing them with every new drawing?

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Hello Rob, I do considered that but the problem is that I work with another 3D software and after creating the 2D in this software I need to export the 2D in DWG and once I copy and paste from the dwg generated into the template(real Auto Cad template), scale  and information get lost.

Hi @Anonymous

Are you looking to import the custom properties from another drawing? if yes, then you need to try the lisp attached to steal the custom properties from another drawing. If you are looking for something else, then please upload some screenshots or drawing so that we can help you out 🙂

@vinodkl,

This worked perfectly. I have about 30 custom fields set up to auto populate in several places over several sheets in my template. The custom fields hold different data with each drawing I do, so importing once into the template is not the answer. I don't have to use this often, but my template gets updated fairly regularly with nice tweaks that make the drawing process smoother each time. After getting used to these updates, working in an older version is a drag so I like to transfer all of the old drawing entities to the new template. This made that task so much easier and quicker. Thank you.

I've used Lee Mac's Steal from Drawing more than any two other lisps I've ever downloaded combined. Couldn't get by without it!
