how to edit the shape of viewport frame

I have a rectangular viewport. I want to add some vertex to make it irregular. However, when I keep my cursor on an endpoint for a while, there is no ADD VERTEXT option shows up.

so, how to add vertex for this viewport?

Hi,

draw your irregular shape over the origin VP then use VPCLIP command to switch the origin to the new shape .

You can also select the viewport, right click, select 'Viewport Clip' (runs VPclip), then choose Polygonal and draw in the new shape of the viewport.
