how to edit/modify description of a block?

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to modify the description of my block according to manual on Autodesk website:

To Modify the Description of a Block

1. Click Insert tab Block Definition panel Create Block. Find
2. In the Block Definition dialog box, in the Name list, select the block for which you want to modify the block description.
3. In the Description box, enter or modify the description of the block.
4. Click OK.
5. In the Block - Redefine Block dialog box, click Redefine Block.

I have done every step, but unfortunately every time at the end the block just disappeared and is not visible on  my drawing. I have tried many times with new files, new blocks or new drawing, but still no effect.. 

Is anyone who know how to repair it? I would like the block will stay as it is at the beginning (before changes).

EXPLODED the block, start over, use the same name. Still does not work?

Then post your actual DWG, point to the block, explain what needs to change in it, let others try it.
