How to display the Hatch Panel

I have been on REVIT too long.

I am on AutoCAD and need to have the Hatch panel displayed when I click on the Hatch icon in the toolbars.

Currently, when I click on a Hatch Icon, I get instructions on the Command Line.

I need to see the patterns available in order to pick a hatch pattern.

Where do I go to turn it on ?

Does the ribbon not change to the "Hatch creation" edition, including this "Pattern" section that you can scroll in, or pull down to see more at once?

You will need to edit the hatch button macro in CUI command to do that for you, if typing T the <enter> is difficult to do: which button do you click on exactly? We can't see your screen.

If at the command line you do that, for the seTtings option, then pick on that, you get the palette of pattern swatches:

They're just like the ones in the ribbon's Pattern pull-down, though for some reason not in the same order.

@Kent1Cooper OP mentioned "toolbar", I'm thinking "classic workspace" aka no Ribbon, so until the OP responds my guess is they are not interested in much of anything else that is not "classic".

That solved my problem on how to get the Hatch Patternss.

But, I still have to click on a Hatch Icon, then, on the Command Line, I type "t" to bring up the Hatch Gradient displays.

How do I get it so that clicking on a Hatch button, brings up the Hatch Gradient display ?

Isn't there a variable to turn dialogue boxes on?

When I click on the Hatch button, I get this (see below) and then click on Swatch or Pattern to see the different hatches.

If you set the variable HPDLGMODE to 1 then you will get that dialog box when starting the hatch command

You might want to try searching the Knowledge Network for

"How to disable contextual ribbon tabs in AutoCAD 2015 and later"
I did not read the whole thing, but you might find what you are looking for in there.
Looks like you used to be able to allow / disallow contextual tabs . . .

Cheers

That's the one I was thinking of.

I couldn't remember the exact name.
