how to copy/paste referenced images to new drawing ?

i need to copy/paste to coordinate several image files to a new drawing.   there are many of them and some are on "sent to back" so its getting very hard to select all of them one at a time.

is there a way to select them all.  possibly thgough the xref list, and copy it to a new drawing ?

thanks.

Why not XREF the source DWG file with all the images to this new top file?

due to the way this specific DWG is designed,  its almost impossible to click/delete specific items.   and some references cant be removed at all for some reason, not sure why.  (and some objects are frozen/hidden)

I agree with Pandean.  You could also try to select them using the 'quick select' (type "QS" in command line) and select them by layers or the multiple object type options available.    Then select 'Edit' from the pulldown, then "Copy with Base Point".

SELECTSIMILAR command
or QSELECT command (as described above)
or FILTER command;
All three are built-in ways to make selections: explore in HELP in the program.

select similar doesnt work with images.

but QS did the trick (by selecting raster images).

thanks.
