How to change system variables (PICKSET) / Delete key not working

I see Autodesk already posted about the problems with the delete key not working and how to solve it. However, I am having trouble solving the issue.

I am having the same issue as listed but I'm having trouble solving it. How do I set the PICKFIRST system variable to 1? Where even is the command line located? I see there is a text command box but inputting "pickfirst" does nothing.

Any ideas?

Hi,

PICKFIRST is a system variable that must work and appear in your command line . please try REDEFINE command then enter the name of your missing command 

Command: REDEFINE
Enter command name: pickfirst

if not fixed please try check the box from OPTIONS command >> Selection tab .

The commandline function is everytime working,
if visible or not.

Pickfirst <enter>
1 <enter>


CTRL+9 toggle the commandline, or command: commandline/commandlinehide

F2 fir Textscreen

I am thinking you are using the dynamic input feature now,
F1 - DynMode
(F12 toggle this mode on/off)

I am still having trouble seeing / finding where the command line is located or the options window in the screenshot you included.

I have included a screenshot of what I see. So far I have managed to find a Text Commands box, but not of the suggested commands work in there.

Unfortunately none of those solutions worked for me. I tried every one of those keys /combos and nothing popped up or visibly changed. CTRL +9 nor imputing the command changed anything. 

I  included a screenshot of what I see. I did eventually find a Text Commands box but no commands I was told to use work

but you are using Fusion, thats curious.

PS: The area near ti your desktop looks like a commandline.. but thats the commandline of fusion and not autocad
