Hi,

Use Polyline & Change Global Width.

Using Lineweight cannot change a curved Line Edge to square

Thanks for the reply, I don't want to use Polyline in the drawing, so any other option to solve ?

HI,

In my drawing I am using lineweight for plotting instead of CTB. My problem is  when I turn on line weight, edge of line turn in to carved/round shape, Actually I need it as square like when polyline have thickness , Any idea how to solve it?. Please see the attached image, where image C1 show the line in normal condition, Image C2 show how its look when Lineweight turn on and Image C3 showing no CTB is used.

Hi,

CTB or polylines with width are imho the only two options you have.

Why do you need that, what is the goal behind that? by default a lineweight is so small on the paper (the final output) that you won't really recognize the difference.

Hi Boss,

Sorry for my second thread, its accidently happened. I am new to this forum. The reason behind this, Now I am working on a fire safety layout. I need to show Fire rating of wall , I am attaching 2 image for better understanding, image  one without lineweight and image 2 with lineweight. when I use lineweight line edge comes in round and if I use poly line, edge will break. I don't want to waste time by filleting  polyline to solve that breaking issue. and I don't want use a plot style so I need to carry plot style with drawing.  This is not an issue for my drawing even in printing it will not visible, but I just want to know is there is any option to change round edge of line while using lineweight, somebody replied in my second thread that there no option to do?!

Hi,

>> somebody replied in my second thread that there no option

Same as I wrote in my prev. post, I showed the only 2 options available.
As you don't use any of them, then sorry, no.
