Dear all,

how can I add the desired hatch pattern in AutoCAD 2016?

Like I want to add the tuff tile hatch that is not available in default AutoCAD hatch pattern.

Have you bothered searching YouTube for a video tutorial on AutoCAD Hatching (so many great tutorials there)?  I understand you are looking for a specific pattern but I cannot ascertain if you fully understand hatching at all??

I am attaching a huge library of hatch patterns.  As to what to do with them I will leave it to you to do some Google searching and learning about adding .pat files to your support path in AutoCAD.  You should also look at some tutorials on creating your own custom hatches in AutoCAD.

Cheers,

Blaine

Hi,

You can also create your own hatches using the Express tool command SUPERHATCH.

Refer the attached screencast:

The simplest way I know to put it:

You can add a pattern definition into your ACAD.pat [or ACADISO.pat] file, but if you put it at the end, make sure there's a blank line at the end of the file.

Or, you can save it as a separate pattern file with a .pat filetype ending, in which case the name of the file [minus the .pat ending] must exactly match the name of the pattern defined in it.  Put it in some folder location that is in the Support File Search Path list [in the Files tab in the OPTIONS command dialog box].

When you want to migrate to a newer version, the latter approach will make that much easier than the former.
