How to ad a layer in an existing drawing

I have an existing drawing where I want to add a layer

Then I want to copy from another file into that

Then do!  [I suspect I don't understand what you're asking, and I don't see anything in the drawing that does -- can you explain in more detail?]

Hi,

to add a layer to your existing file you have to copy (Ctrl+C) an object set on a the layer that you want to copy it . then paste it (Ctrl+V).now if you do it right you will find the new layer in your layer dialog.
