How does one remove a block FILE from acad

I have a file with several blocks FILES loaded up, I now no longer need it and would like to remove it, cant find anything on the web. lots of references to a "manage libraries button" but I dont see one anywhere. How can I remove the 113-xxx file that seems to be redundantly loaded here? Doesnt seem like there is any easy way, or it there is its well hidden?

If do you want to remove any block from your drawing in AutoCAD, You have to make sure that this block is unused and deleted ( Not exist ) from your drawing. Now ... you can PURGE your drawing to get rid from the block name also.

Its not a block. Its a block file which contains several blocks. I want to remove the file entirely.

You can try QSELECT command and make your own needed selection for deleting procedure..

Any way ... " File reference " means for me in AutoCAD that you're dealing with xref file, Isn't it?

Open the External References Palette (command: XREF) and right click on the references to either unload/detach the object from your drawing.  Following that you may have to PURGE unwanted blocks from your drawing

This appears to be a block pallet and if so, there is a lot of info missing.  Is it Recent Blocks, a block library, blocks in the current drawing... ??

Try a new screen shot with more detail such as shown below.  Without more information from you, everyone is just guessing...

again its not an xref, or a block. Its a block library file. Can you see the tab that states Library, and see how the files are loaded in the drop down?

If you look at the original post, NO, no one could see the tab that states Library...

I do not use this method for accessing blocks, but all I can think of right off is that there are multiple copies of the same file nested in sub-folders.  Have you looked at that?

So you're just trying to remove listed items from your block library dropdown options?  The only thing I can think of is to open a bunch of the ones you actually want to use and let them push out by being the most recent...  not super great but... it's AutoCAD.  Quirks abound.

Acad never ceases to amaze me. One would think there would just be a option to remove a file. Didnt think it was this complicated.

I have no way of knowing how you have your support files set up.  As I stated, I do not use this method.  YOU have to tell US how you have it set up if you want help...

My quick testing here only shows ONE instance of each block, but again, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW YOUR SUPPORT IS SET UP. 

The more info you can tell us, the more likely we are going to be able to help.

It's just the list of recent used files&folders.

Are the paths really the same? I guess it's a temporary path with changing foldernames.

I think you can see the path, if you hover to the file.

It will appear again and again in this case.

Clear list:

Search for: Autocad delete library list block

Open your options (command: OPTIONS) and check where the "Blocks Sync Folder Location".  By default it will be in the Roaming>>>enu folder. 
I don't personally use this method to access my blocks so I can't tell, but maybe one of these folders (best guess is "Select Block Library Dialog") will have duplicate entries you can delete?

@mattdVF27J This is a DWG file that resides outside your DWG file: you accessed it using that pulldown at some point. You'll have to find it in the folders you browsed to and remove it from there. AKA it's in your "library" where ever that is for you, we don't all store files the same way. Your IT person can help you search for files across all the systems and drives you use if you need that.
