How do you disable "apparent intersection"

Some times Apparent Intersection just gets in the way. In the Object Snap dialogue box, I've clicked on the X or tick, next to Apparent Intersection, and it wont un-tick.  How do I disable it, if only for a few commands.

F3 will toggle off all the Object Snaps until pressed again. Maybe this helps you enough, but I understand you might need the other OSNAPs.

Are you talking about what looks like an X in the red-circled square?  That's not a check-box, but just the icon for that mode [compare to those for other modes], so it won't ever "un-tick."  You want the blue-circled check-box.  If that's really what you're clicking in, and it won't un-check [a check-mark similar to  √ , not an X], I can't duplicate the problem -- it checks and un-checks normally for me.  Might you have any custom routines that automatically set a combination of Osnap modes that includes that one?

Yes, I had a brain fa%t, and mistook the x in the box as the tick box. Sorry, embarrassed. Thanks one and all. Let the ribbing begin lol.
